ABSTRACT
This study attempted to survey all young people in the relevant age group with cerebral palsy or spina bifida accompanied by hydrocephalus, living in a defined geographical area. Since between a half and two-thirds of all physically handicapped children suffer from one of these conditions, the problems presented by our sample may be regarded as fairly typical of handicapped young people in general.
