ABSTRACT
It is widely known in the addiction treatment community that addicted women present themselves for services in the later stages of chemical dependency and with more complications than their male counterparts. The purpose of this article is to discuss the additional challenges the spouse and children present to the recovering woman in the therapeutic as well as the practical sense.
