ABSTRACT

The U.S. mental health industry is growing, with government, business and industrial organizations playing an increasingly important role. Organizations have accepted the responsibility of employee stress management and incorporated it into existing employee well ness programs. Since stress is an artifact of mental health, it may serve as a link through which organizations eventually assume a central role in employee mental health management. With this will come major changes in the U.S. mental health market. Providers of mental health products could benefit strategically by evaluating these evolutionary changes.
