ABSTRACT

Most entrepreneurs, values-centered or otherwise, start businesses for honorable reasons. Many have great visions of the future. Others want to be their own boss and be financially rewarded for their achievements. They are passionate about their ideas and work tirelessly to achieve their goals. Most of them take tremendous personal risks. Some even succeed in improving people’s lives through their innovative new products and services. We applaud all of them for their courage to pursue their dreams. For many years, our school, Loyola Marymount University, like many other universities, has been giving awards to successful entrepreneurs so that they would share their stories with our students. We want more of our students to become entrepreneurs because we believe almost all successful entrepreneurs make a positive contribution to the economy and society.
