ABSTRACT
This chapter describes the stages of sleep before considering the classification and clinical features of sleep disorders. The evidence-based assessment and management of various sleep problems are discussed (Douglas, 1989, 2005; Ferber & Kryger, 1995; Goodlin-Jones & Anders, 2004; Horne, 1992; Mindell & Owens, 2003; Ramchandani, Wiggs, Webb & Stores, 2000; Stein & Barnes, 2002; Stores, 2001; Stores & Wiggs, (2001).
