ABSTRACT

The Arab Republic of Egypt is located in the northeastern corner of Africa, bordered by Libya to the west, Sudan to the south, and the Mediterranean Sea to the north. The Red Sea borders mainland Egypt to the east, and Israel borders the eastern edge of Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula. With a population of 70 million, Egypt is the largest country in the Arab world. The capital city of Cairo, with over 16 million inhabitants, is the center of business, culture, diplomacy, and media in the Middle East.
