ABSTRACT
An exhaustive annotated bibliography of singer biographies in the form of books or pamphlets. No biographical information found in periodical literature is cited. Coverage is limited to those publications with imprint dates of 1983 or earlier, although a few 1984 citations do appear. The arrangement is in three parts: (1) those items that focus on a single performer; (2) those that contain information on multiple performers; and (3) books and translations into English that are in manuscript form. Includes entries on 796 singers written in 28 languages.
