ABSTRACT
The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) is a national not-for-profi t organization exclusively dedicated to understanding and preventing suicide through research and education, and to reaching out to people with mood disorders and those affected by suicide. AFSP is based in New York City, with over 30 affi liated chapters throughout the United States.
