ABSTRACT

This chapter captures the thoughts, feelings, and reflections of school psychology graduate students as they prepared for the Praxis exam using the PASS (prepare, assist, survive, and succeed) model. In their own words, they describe their personal experiences and the strategies that helped them during the process of preparing for and taking the exam. These reflections are organized by topic, beginning with preparing for the exam, the actual experience of taking the exam, and some of the challenges they faced and how they coped with them. We’ve also included some helpful hints that may be beneficial to others, like you, who are preparing for this new endeavor.
