Armando Alcántara (AA): First, I’d like to ask what have been the main topics that have occupied your attention in recent years? Your academic career begins in 1975 with your appointment as assistant professor in political philosophy at the University of El Salvador in Argentina. The following year you fi nished your fi rst book on Paulo Freire, which was published in Mexico in 1978. The year 2000 marks your twenty-fi fth anniversary as a professor and university investigator.
