ABSTRACT

Many of the chapters in this book address the contexts, needs, and purposes for the Teaching American History (TAH) program or the best ways to design and implement TAH projects. Th e purpose of this chapter is to provide a framework for investigating, documenting, and improving the quality of TAH projects through systematic, high-quality evaluation. Because an exhaustive treatment of TAH project evaluation is not possible in one chapter, relevant references are included for additional guidance.
