ABSTRACT

In recent years there has been an upheaval in Shakespearean textual criticism. This upheaval has disrupted New Bibliography’s hegemony over ways of thinking about Shakespearean texts. The collapse of the New Bibliography has renewed interest in textual examination and created a theoretical space where many interested in Shakespearean text, including those with training in disciplines beyond more formal bibliographical study, have been able to contribute meaningfully to advances in the field.
