gs:iQI~ Hsi-yu-chi is a famous Chinese novel (see W.T. de Bary,A.T. Embree, ed. : A Guide to Oriental Classics, Columbia University Press, New York and London, 1964, 161-163), and it seems to have been much enjoyed in Korea from about 1600 on (see Kim T'aejun, 95, Kim Kidong, 16, 21, etc.). 1947 exhibition, 171: gsji~ SOyu ki, manuscript, 12 vols. (Yi Haech'ong). Courant, 760: ~ ,0r.:i.J g§ji~ Syoyu kUi, Seoul block print, 2 vols, '"newly engraved at ~r.lt Hwasan in the tenth month of AIR1856", in Paris, etc. He adds: "There exist some manuscripts in Korean in 60 vols and others in 25 vols." Kim Tonguk, 392, adds that the block print is of 31, 28 leaves.
