ABSTRACT
This appendix chapter first presents empirical evidence for analyzing dynamic unaccusatives in Plains Cree as a kind of reflexive predicates, and then explicates why I adopt the current machinery of reflexivization. To recap, the dynamic unaccusative verbal complex pîkopayiw ‘x breaks (by itself)’ in (1a) is assigned the νP structure in (1b).
