Jerry also contributed individual songs to a few Broadway productions at the behest of their producers. Interpolations both with and without credit, have been a long tradition in the theatre. Writers such as Richard Rodgers, Stephen Sondheim, Frank Loesser, and Back and Harnick supplied songs to Broadway shows without credit. Jerry was asked by Robert Preston to supply two songs for Ben Franklin in Paris.
