ABSTRACT

Recent years have witnessed immense growth in communication and information sharing. Internet, as well as mobile and satellite, communications are just a few examples of innovations that have contributed significantly to the alteration of everyday social realities. People are functioning in contexts of communication of greater complexity and diversity than ever before. While this diversity and complexity has the potential to enrich, it may also bring about feelings of uncertainty, and lack of guidance. Depending on personality and situations, these feelings may substantially affect cognition and interpersonal interaction and communication, for better, or for worse.
