ABSTRACT

Formerly called the American Association for Counseling and Development (AACD), the ACA is a professional umbrella organization of counselors. It has over 58,000 members in four geographical regions in the United States and internationally. ACA consists of subdivisions (see below) that offer memberships, journals, and conferences. These subdivisions address the needs of counselors who practice in different settings. All subdivisions combine for an annual national ACA Convention.
