ABSTRACT
The final stages of identity formation within a profession can be conceptualized as embracing a professional identity, promoting professionalism, and building a professional reputation. Although graduate school is an important stage of the educational process and holds exciting future promises, the practicum and internship, along with initial employment, serve to solidify the integration of education and practice.
