ABSTRACT

School psychologists are ethically obligated to participate in lifelong learning activities to ensure the highest standard of care for the children, families, and educators they serve (Brown, 2002). This commitment is evident in graduate training program standards, where continuing professional development is explicitly taught and modeled. As practitioners, continuing professional development is facilitated throughout one’s career through professional practice societies such as the American Psychological Association (APA) and the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP). However, the onus of creating a lifelong learning path is upon the practitioner.
