ABSTRACT
The authors represented in this section describe both success andchallenges. They describe dealing with gender politics in settings that are hostile-or only slowly warming-to new ideas about men and women. Reflecting on their personal experiences, these nine men discuss being sons and fathers, teachers and students. They pose questions, and provide some answers, about living, working, thinking, and learning in a sexist society.
