ABSTRACT
My name is Ben. I attend Rural Country University, a small liberal arts college in the middle of nowhere Colorado. The scenery here is beautiful, but we have a pretty isolated campus. Not much to do in this town except what we can create for ourselves. Honestly, I can't believe I'm writing this letter to you. I never thought I'd be writing as a former RA. I had it all planned out-RA my sophomore year, do it again my junior year and show my leadership skills, and be a head resident my senior year. It didn't quite work out that way because of a decision I made toward the end of my sophomore year. Now that it is my senior year, I can look back on it with some perspective. At the time, it was tough.
