ABSTRACT
AM shows an increase in average vowel space post-implant, with a certain degree of change and return. His vowel and vowel word durations are fairly stable, with long vowels tending to have longer durations. His CV syllable duration is also longer post-activation, as are his voiceless VOTs. In terms of fundamental frequency, AM demonstrates a strong pattern of change and return for vowel peak F0, the Rainbow Passage phrases, and the Bev loves Bob sentences. The similarity of his pre-implant and six month speech patterns are confirmed by the hearing listener perception study results.
