ABSTRACT
The study of art frequently centers around specific objects that (a) illustrate certain styles or particular cultures and/or (b) depict subjects or symbols related to some idea or concept. In-depth research is often concerned with the many ways to approach these works of art. The most important component of this type of investigation is the original work of art itself. What can be learned from closely observing the actual work cannot be overestimated!
