ABSTRACT
In this chapter we explore the most written about aspect of OB – motivation. The related subject of leadership is included as an important development from early motivation theories. A range of approaches to motivation and leadership is outlined, and then discussed in the light of our political perspective. The political model of human behaviour which underlies later chapters is developed.
