ABSTRACT

Teachers, guidance counselors, or coaches may become aware of a few teens who have experienced a significant loss. The adults may consider gathering them together to provide tangible support. The school system would be a logical place, whether within a particular school or within a cluster of schools. Churches, synagogues, or mosques where teens are affiliated may have enough members at one time to warrant a teen grief group. Hospice bereavement departments, individual mental health professionals, and funeralhome personnel have formed such groups.
