ABSTRACT
Chiefs Aworeni, Abi6la and Drs. Adesanya, AkinQla and Awotay<) employed different approaches to solve their clients' problems. A former client and an intern in Dr. Awotay<)'s hospital in 1994
opined that Yorubti clients often view their problems as spiritual, psychological, or physical in nature. According to Drs. Awotay<), AkinQla and Adesanya, the previous observation about the potential causes of a problem necessitates that Yoruba Traditional Healers confront clients' problems from different angles every time. As such and in Dr Awotay<)'s view, "a disease, illness or problem can only be solved when 'dug out from its roots' (C<wo iJ.run tegbo tegbo, wo iJ.run ltiwOttin")."
