ABSTRACT

In the first chapter of this book we discussed three dimensions of leadership: gaining an appreciation for the context in which leadership originates and is practiced developing a vision for the future, and facilitating the dimension of action in order to help the vision come to life. These dimensions should not be considered as discrete and mutually exclusive but rather as interdependent components of leadership that inform one another. In this chapter we would like to review these three dimensions of leadership, in light of the individuals who were recognized in the second section of the book, and then spend time considering some possible areas for making contributions to leadership within the counseling profession.
