ABSTRACT

In July 1961 Ivan Hill and three other partners purchased the Chicago office of C&W and opened as Hill, Rogers, Mason & Scott, keeping the $2 million Sara Lee account, which constituted about half of its $5 million business. One of the agency’s new tasks in June 1962 was to inform the Chicago area that fresh cakes would no longer be available; Chicago had been the only area in which fresh Sara Lee cakes could still be purchased.
