How to Define a Muslim American Agenda

The terrorist attacks of September 11 must foster a fundamental rethinking about the American Muslim agenda. Muslim Americans, like other Americans, were horrified at the attacks on New York and Washington. Many are rightly distressed by the American public perception of a link between Islam and acts of terror. And many believe that this connection, and consequent religious profiling of Muslims, is the result primarily of the lack of knowledge among non-Muslim Americans of Islam.
