ABSTRACT
Peter Andreas is an Academy Scholar at the Weatherhead Center for International Affairs, Harvard University. In recent years he has held research fellowships from the Brookings Institution and the Social Science Research Council-MacArthur Foundation Program on International Peace and Security. His publications include Drug War Politics: The Price of Denial (coauthor) and The Illicit Global Economy and State Power (coeditor). Starting in the fall of 2000, he will be an assistant professor of political science at Reed College in Portland, Oregon. He has a B.A. from Swarthmore College and an M.A. and Ph.D. in political science from Cornell University.
