ABSTRACT
We were sent ahead* told to go about a kilometer around the bend, turn left at the two tallest trees, and proceed another half mile or so from there. “See?” asked the young soldier, “those two trees over there. You can see them from here.” He also told us what kind of trees they were. Paul and I looked at each other, confused. We could not discern two “tall trees” amongst the thick matte of forest, nor had we heard of the species to which he referred. Realizing we were hopelessly confused, the compa told us a guide would meet us further down the road.
