ABSTRACT
Something that never made sense to Jacob was why Avrim, the big-time Haganah recruiter, had rst talked to him at the movie theater four years earlier. And why had he spent so much time with him, week aer week, meeting with him, talking to him, and telling him about Palestine? Jacob knew that he was fairly bright, and certainly capable, but he wasn’t that special that a busy man like Avrim would invest so much time in their relationship.
