ABSTRACT

I was supervising a blind therapist who was completing his internship prior to graduation. He had been assigned to work in an inner-city school where many of his clients were gang members who were referred because of behavior problems. Even with his visual handicap, the intern was remarkably eective with the kids he worked with, earning their trust and condence. At the end of one long day, his supervisor came into the oce, and said, “Whoa, what happened here?”
