ABSTRACT
It can be argued that within the field of virtual heritage there is a shortage of literature focused on different methods of interpreting and communicating cultural significance to the public, other than the common pattern of descriptive interpretation; to visually describe the physical appearance of tangible heritage. Although important to the conservation of heritage and development of the field of virtual heritage, it does not constitute the only research challenge that digital technologies offer in the service of cultural heritage.
