ABSTRACT

Aquaculture faces similar challenges in many parts of the world. While the range of responses is quite varied, it can be expected that both operational approaches and policies will continue to evolve, but likely with some degree of convergence. Certainly, what has become everyday practice now is quite different from practice a decade ago, and we are likely to see changes of even greater magnitude in the coming years. Cultivation of more species will present new operational needs and policy tensions.
