ABSTRACT
I will present various aspects of Greek society and culture primarily in the Classical Age but sometimes from the earlier periods as well.
A good introduction to Greek religion without a rationalistic bias is by Easterling and Muir (1985). There is a striking resemblance between ancient Greek religion and the Japanese traditional religion called Shinto. In the list that follows, a comparison is made between the two religions.
