With these and other emerging relational conceptualizations, today’s regional planning practitioners may move beyond mere digital development, which is focused on ICT access, to intelligent development that is informed by appropriate theory – i.e. relational theory, sound empirical analyses – and thereby realize more effective contemporary planning practice and development outcomes.
