The secret of success when taking any examination is preparation. With this important thought in mind, The Chartered Institute of Marketing has asked the Senior Examiners to produce these specimen answers to the actual questions set. The answers are for your guidance and should not be seen as perfect solutions. In marketing, there is never one entirely correct solution. Whatever the style adopted, the format and the content of these answers should be indicative of what the examiners want to see. It is hoped that you will find these specimen answers, and the examiners' comments, useful and informative. However, it is regretted that no correspondence can be entered into regarding the subject matter. We advise students to practise past questions and to use their tutors for guidance and feedback. The remit of the suggested answers was as follows:
