ABSTRACT
The Emperor invaded Bohemia following the election as king of Frederick, the Protestant Elector Palatine, who was James I’s son-in-law (Aug.).
1620 After defeat at the Battle of the White Mountain (Oct.), Frederick was driven out of his new kingdom of Bohemia. The Palatinate was invaded by the Emperor’s forces.
