ABSTRACT
Any attempt to produce a quality change within an organisation will only be successful if:
the need is fully recognised by the Managing Director (MD);
the process of change is led by the MD;
the MD appoints a quality director/executive. (The role of the quality director has been discussed in Chapter 2.)
