ABSTRACT

We need to see ourselves as self-employed and responsible for developing our own portfolios. As Handy says: “Portfolios accumulate by chance. They should accumulate by choice. We can manage our time. We can say no. We can give less priority, or more, to homework or paid work. Money is essential, but more money is not always essential. Enough can be enough. Without deliberate choice, portfolios can become too full.” The process of career and life work planning involves you in making deliberate choices. This practice sets the stage for discernment leading to right action and right livelihood.
