ABSTRACT

Up to this point, the focus of the CEM has been on training related to the present job of the learner. The focus of the next two chapters is on education, or those learning activities directed to preparing the learner for a different job. It will become obvious why a Designer should make that distinction when designing a program. It will also become obvious that the major difference between training and education is the learner. Therefore, let us look at the different types of learners who can be involved in education.
