ABSTRACT

The open racetrack is a good metaphor for where we are today. Our political and economic worlds are changing rapidly. Our job is to get as skilled as possible at observing what is real. That means observing how all the changes and the constant elements of life are related to each other. Only then can we make good long-term decisions about when to make the turns of life and at what pace. The truth is that there is not much out in front for any of us to follow. We cannot even look to the megacorporations that were such clear-cut leaders only a short time ago.
