ABSTRACT
In earlier chapters we described the IT stereotype. Why does it persist? The IT tribe needs new people all the time. Like most tribes, IT brings into its ranks those who fit in well, and who will not taint the purity of the bloodstock. So is the IT stereotype's continued existence as much a result of our recruitment strategies as it is of outsiders' prejudices?
