ABSTRACT
The following sections describe features of satellite communications that are of particular interest to television broadcasters and facility companies. They consider the availability of fixed satellite services (FSS) for point-to-point and pointto-multi-point television transmissions and indicate limitations that the use of communications satellites may impose on television production techniques.
