A6/12 Problems with shape and rotational symmetry

Draw some more shapes, but only using right angles (90°) and right angles (45°).

• Use scrap paper and random cutting to make a number of triangles. Pick out any that

look as if they may have a right angle. Fold an irregular-shaped piece of paper in half

then fold the fold in half to form a right angle. Use this to check if the picked-out

triangles do have a right angle or not. Now cut out triangles that do have right angles by

cutting rectangles diagonally in half.
