ABSTRACT

An important co-development with the e-book is the e-reader, a lightweight, handheld device designed specifically for the reading of e-books and other digital text, such as newspapers and magazines. Unlike computers, many of which are stationary or heavy to carry, and some books, which can be bulky and heavy, e-readers can hold libraries of thousands of books and only weigh half a pound. E-readers also offer the ability to download new content at any time of the day and anywhere one can connect to a computer or the Internet.
