ABSTRACT

Nearly 80% of Americans use the Internet (Zickuhr and Smith, 2012), and, as of mid-2010, China boasted the largest Internet-using population at 384 million people (Miniwatts Marketing Group, 2010). Our online activities both force and are enhanced by other technologies that keep growing and updating themselves to accommodate that use, such as Apple’s iPad, the netbook, and smartphones. Many public places-airports, restaurants, even malls-now offer free Wi-Fi as a selling point.
