We’ve spent the past fi ve chapters really getting to know the power of Avid and the art of editing. You now have the foundation to be able to do most basic techniques-you can organize, mark, edit, remove, trim, and rearrange your footage. You’ve been introduced to proper technique and have been challenged to consider essential aspects of creating a compelling scene. From here on out, you’ll expand on these main techniques, but you’ll fi nd that everything basically comes back to these core concepts.
