ABSTRACT

In 2010, Stephen Les was just starting his 3D editing business, Amazing 3D Post, and was setting up an editing system. He needed some reliable 3D test material to run through his editing pipeline. After looking at a lot of 3D material that others had shot with various 3D rigs, he found so many problems with the way that the 3D had been shot that he wasn’t confident the material actually provided reliable test cases. He knew he needed something simple and straightforward to operate, as his interest was primarily editing, not shooting.
